As a mother and a photographer it is hard for me to get in front of the camera. It seems that I am always the one taking the picture instead. So when my husband asked what I wanted for Mother’s Day I promptly replied that I would love to have some pictures of me with my girls. Lucky for me he is an amazing photographer. 

About this Session 

Really this session was just something I wanted personally so we didn’t take it too seriously. It was a chance to get a couple nice pictures while doing a little practicing … and we needed to execute quickly since kids do not have a lot of patience (neither does my husband!) I ordered the matching dresses from a kids Face Book co-op group for less than $30. I didn’t even plan for what shoes the kids would wear and just scrambled last minute to find something they already had that wouldn’t be too bright or distracting. And, of course, the baby’s dress was way too big for (and that was the smallest size they had). 

To keep things simple, we went out to a path way right behind the house so if we had any major meltdowns we could call it and just walk home … so for a really quick session (maybe 20 minutes) these are what my husband captured. I know, isn’t he amazing? I am one happy Momma.
